The annual Edmund Rice Walk, organised by the Christian Brothers’ Vocations Group, will be held on Saturday, 13th May. This year the theme is “Walking with Edmund” and part of the walk will be around the city of Waterford visiting some of the sites associated with Edmund Rice. The other part of the walk will take place in the Eco Park in Kilbarry.
The day will start will participants (open to all adults) gathering in Mount Sion, Waterford at 09.30 for refreshments and an opening reflection to set the theme and tone for the day. There will be a guided tour around the city visiting the places associated with Blessed Edmund and then on to the Eco Park in Kilbarry.
The day will end with a closing reflection in Mount Sion at about 4pm. Please bring your own packed lunch, plenty of liquids and sturdy walking shoes. The walk will be in solidarity with poor people and participants are being asked to make a donation to St. Vincent de Paul Society on the day.
